When to visit an urgent care

Chesapeake ERgent Care is here for you all year round. We treat the vast majority of injuries & sicknesses. However, if you are wondering when is the right time to visit Urgent Care, we are here with some advice that all can follow. Urgent Care Centers such as our own and emergency rooms are different for many reasons, one of the main reasons is, you do not need to schedule an appointment to visit urgent care.  If you are injured and it is non-life threatening you should come into urgent care instead of wasting hours in an emergency room.   

Types of Urgent Care We Treat

At Chesapeake Ergent Care we treat an extensive list of illnesses and injuries that can be diagnosed by one of our Physicians. Some of the illnesses we treat are: 

  • Cold, Cough, Flu
  • Fever
  • Dehydration
  • Strep Throat
  • Eat infections
  • Stomach aches & pains

if you wake up one morning and feel a sudden illness we can cover you, we are available for Primary Care. Our Primary Care can treat routine checkups, physicals and everything else that your current primary care provider can. 


Our center has a full radiology department that allows us to give out Digital X-rays to quickly diagnose and analyze any broken bones or bone fractures that may have occurred in an accident. other services of what we include are: 

  • Cuts & Lacerations that require stitches
  • Back Pain & Spasms
  • Bone breaks & Fractures 
  • Muscle spasms & Sprains 

STD/STI Testing 

Sexual health is something that should be at the top of the proriety list for all sexually active individuals. Chesapeake Ergent Care offers discrete and immediate STD/STI testing no appointment needed. Our center has a laboratory on-site, allowing us to analyze and process your results prior to the end of your visit. If you require treatment, we will be able to provide you with the care you need. Some of the STD/STI’s we will test for are: 

  • Herpes
  • Chlamydia
  • Hepatitis C
  • Syphilis
  • Gonorrhea

Walk-in Care 

At Chesapeake Ergent Care you will never have to book an appointment no matter what the means are. If you need a quick diagnosis or a Professional question on a certain concern of yours, simply just walk in, we are open 7 days a week.
